This week’s I am the Diva CZT’s challenge is to use the tangle pattern “MacDee”. I call my piece “A Scot’s Baskets”. I started off with TanglePattern String 116 and used tangles: MacDee, A-Fog, Neuron, Paizel, and Crescent Moon. Enjoy!
This week’s challenge marks the first anniversary of the It’s a String Thing Weekly Challenges. Adele does an amazing job with her blog, thinking up the challenges and posting her thoughts on each and every one of the submissions she gets weekly. Adele you are amazing! =D HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
This week’s tangle pattern selections include:
- Meringue by CZT Kelley Kelly
- A-Fog by Kathy Redmond
- Roscoe by Vicki Bassett
- Kitl by Jem Miller AKA Ragged Ray
- Lotus Pods
This week’s I am the Diva CZT’s challenge #179 is to use the official small tile size “Bijou”. Bijou, the snail mascot for the 2″x2″ tiles, is just the most darling thing! I don’t even like snails (aka slugs with armour). This li’l guy is very cute. You can watch the Zentangle video here. I created four 2″x2″ pieces. I’m quite familiar with this size. The dimensions are close to the squares I draw in my tangle patterns reference sketchbook. I call this group of tiles “Les études de bijou”. I decided to only use official Zentangle patterns and stick to the basics. These didn’t take me long at all. Enjoy!
This tile called “Hanging Vines” is my submission for This week’s It’s a String Thing Challenge #51. The string is TanglePattern 051. The tangles to select from are:
- Facet by Nancy Pine, CZT
- Fancy Nancy – one of my patterns
- Falz by Sue Clark, CZT
- Fandango by Vicki Bassett
